what is an apprenticeship

What is an Apprenticeship?

With an apprenticeship you would do the following.

  • Work full time for your employer whilst also undertaking learning in the workplace.
  • Earn while you learn as you will be paid whilst working.

There isn't any college-style learning it’s all work-based. Your learning will be guided by one of our dedicated assessors, who would arrange regular visits and assessments with you and your employer. Your employer would provide the hands-on experience you need to put your skills in to practice.

Apprenticeships are open to those who are just starting out in the world of work or those already in work. If you are old enough to leave school for wherever you live in the UK, you are old enough to become an apprentice.

e-Track - Learner e-portfolio system

Improving learner engagement has been recognised as a key element in improving recruitment, retention and achievement of students. By offering remote learner access to their portfolio, e-Track enables our assessors to engage with learners.

Employers are also encouraged to access the e-Track portfolio of their learners.

Evidence submitted may be mapped to the qualification standards by the learner and then reviewed and amended by the Assessor before accepting.
